The Chief Financial Officer’s (CFO) organisation is a driving force behind the creation of greater value in the company. We are responsible for the financial and legal functions, providing professional support and advice, and for representing the group in financial markets. A key task for us is to ensure high levels of ethical and financial compliance with corporate and external requirements. By means of active stakeholder management, CFO will manage the market perception of Statoil in Norwegian and international financial markets.

GBS is the internal provider of global business support services to the Statoil group. GBS delivers services and expertise within finance and control, IT, HR, facility management, project deliveries, safety and sustainability, communication and management system. One of Norway’s most challenging and exciting IT organisations are looking to strengthen our team of information and cyber risk professionals.

As a team member, your most important objective will be to enable our business leaders to efficiently manage information security risks. Two key job responsibilities are expected to support this goal:1) You will be expected to facilitate risk assessments in a professional and structured way, and 2) Improve risk communication through stakeholder dialogue, risk reporting and continuous improvement of our risk delivery methods.


We encourage both established risk experts or more junior talents to apply. We especially value the following qualifications:

  • Experience with performing information risk assessments
  • Strong workshop facilitation and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Bayesian probability methods
  • Excellent penmanship for report writing and documentation
  • A college degree in risk management (3yrs+)
  • Master or Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Strong information security background (seasoned risk professionals with an interest in cyber are also of interest)
  • Experience with risk assessments of industrial control systems
  • International experience
  • Work experience can compensate for lack of education
